About Us
To raise disciples who know Christ deeply, love people sacrificially, and influence society biblically.
Christ-centered teaching, Spirit-led worship, biblical authority, transformational discipleship, and compassionate outreach.
Our preachers and leaders serve with integrity, accountability, and pastoral care. The current preacher is Bro Emmanuel Dawutey.
Meet The LeadershipThe Koforidua Central Church of Christ started from a storey building popularly referred to as "Husieni Abansoro ase". The life of this church spans a period of half a century. After the establishment of the church, two separate congregations emerged.
In the late 1970s, these two congregations merged into what is now called the Koforidua Church of Christ, Old Estate. The first preacher of the church was Bro Abraham Mante.
Like most growing organizations, the church went through challenging seasons. By the grace of God, those challenges were overcome through the dedication of preachers and members, and this is how far the Lord has brought us.
After the exit of Bro Abraham, preachers who served the church include Bros Daniel Osei, Pius Gyamesi, and Fred Onomah Asamoah. Bro Emmanuel Dawutey currently serves as preacher, succeeding Bro Fred Onomah Asamoah about nine years ago.
The current leadership of the church remains deeply grateful to the Lord for how far He has brought us.
Ministries
Old Estate serves through seven core ministries and their committees. Start with the snapshot here, then open a ministry page for the fuller structure, focus and committee work behind it.
How Ministry Life Works
Each ministry carries a clear mandate, a committee structure, and a practical service focus so members can see where they belong and how the work gets done.
Formation
Designs, develops, implements and evaluates programmes that meet the church's information and knowledge needs.
Outreach
Revives and sustains evangelism and visitation so the church can win souls for Christ and keep members closely connected.
Worship
Ensures worship activities on meeting days and official church events are carried out effectively and in an edifying way.
Care
Tracks members, their standing, and their physical and spiritual condition so care can be timely and personal.
Care
Responds to members' social welfare needs across marriage, childbirth, sickness, hardship, death and funerals.
Administration
Provides prudent financial management, administration, infrastructure oversight and communication support for the whole church.
Next Generation
Cares for the special needs of young people and children while helping them participate actively in church life and grow in their gifts.
Reporting rhythm: Each ministry reports to the leaders on a quarterly basis.
Each committee reports monthly through the ministry responsible for it.
